A plaque on a memorial in the form of a cross, placed on the ground, holding the original foundation stone records: You are facing the site of - The original St Peter's Church of England, Leeton - It was of Adobe Construction built from hand made mud bricks - The church was used for regular worship until 1973 - Decommissioned 12~12~1994 by Bishop Bruce of Riverina - Demolished 14~3~1995. |
