A foundation stone for the chancel was laid on 8/10/1895 by Lady Darley, wife of the Lieutenant-Governor of NSW. The text on the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited.

A foundation stone for the church hall was laid on 21/9/1918 by the Anglican Primate of Australia, the Most Rev J C Wright DD. The text on the foundation stone is not known. Information/photographs are invited.

The St Barnabas' Anglican Chapel was formerly the Parish of St Barnabas' South Bathurst, but is now an out centre of the All Saints' Cathedral Parish,  Bathurst, and part of the Diocese of Bathurst. The St Barnabas' Church building was destroyed by suspected arson on 23/2/2014, the original building having opened about 1881. The chancel was added in 1895, with the church being consecrated on 10/10/1896. This church building replaced an earlier weatherboard structure opened about 1875, which was used as the church hall until it was replaced in 1918. The church building has not been restored. The chapel is now in the former church hall. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 19/4/2021.
