Comments

The Rev Benjamin Glennie was appointed at Drayton in 1850, and the original church, of slab construction, was opened in January 1859. It was located at the corner of Cambooya & Rudd Streets.

The present St Matthew's Anglican Church site was acquired to meet the needs of a growing congregation, with the first service held on 22/11/1887.

More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photograph uploaded 04/03/2016.
