The former St Peter's Anglican Church, Tregeagle was part of the Parish of Alstonville and the Diocese of Grafton. The church was renamed St Peter and St Paul's Anglican Church after the St Paul's Anglican Church at Wollongbar closed, and the congregation joined with St Peter's. The church has now closed, and the property was sold in October 2022.
The land for the St Peter's Church was donated by Mr Jeremiah Davis in the late 1890s. The community contributed to the erection of the church which was opened and dedicated on 2/7/1899 by Dr Green, the Bishop of the Diocese. The church celebrated its centenary on 27/6/1999, which included the renaming as mentioned above. In 2009 the church celebrated its 110th anniversary, the Right Rev Keith Slater, Bishop of Grafton presiding. Mr Allen Davis, the grandson of Mr Jeremiah Davis who granted the original land was also present for the celebrations. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 16/4/2020.
