A plaque records: To the Glory of God this Church was dedicated on Sunday, 21st November,1971 by the Most Reverend M. Loane M.A. D.D. Archbishop of Sydney and Metropolitan of N.S.W. This building replaces the original St. David's Church which was destroyed by bushfires on 28th November 1968. Rector - Reverend John Baxter. Church wardens D.B. Donaldson C.G. Grierson K.G. Windred.

The Lower Mountains Anglican Church - Blaxland (formerly St David's Anglican Church) is part of the Lower Mountains Parish  (with Lower Mountains Anglican Church - Glenbrook and Lower Mountains Anglican Church - Mt Riverview) in the Diocese of Sydney. The present church building was dedicated on 21/11/1971, by the Archbishop of Sydney, the Most Rev M Loane, replacing the original church building opened in 1928, and which was destroyed in the 1968 bushfire. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.Photograph uploaded 27/10/2019 & 22/8/2026.
