The Chapel - Former

The former, 'The Chapel' was originally built about 1865 for the Mitchell family and workers of the private Lisdillon Estate. The building in its early years also doubled as a school. The Estate was sold to the Jones family in 1920, including the church property. In 1936 the church with surrounding land were gifted/transferred to the Anglican Church. The church continued until the 1960's, with the property becoming privately owned about 1966. More historical infromation/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
