The present church building is the third on the site, the opening of which was recorded in the newspaper as follows:  (Sydney Morning Herald - 26 March 1931) "NEW CHURCH AT DRUMMOYNE. The new St. Bede's Church of England, Drummoyne, was dedicated last night by the Archbishop of Sydney (Dr. Wright) in the presence of a crowded congregation, many people being unable to gain admission. Among those present were Sir Phillp and Lady Street, Sir Thomas and Lady Henley, and a number of visiting clergymen. The building, with furnishings, cost about £11,600".
