Foundation Stone Notes: | (Western Champion - 3 July 1903) "An important event in the history of the Church of England in Cobar took place on the church grounds, Barton Street, on Wednesday afternoon last, when the foundation stone of the new St. Paul's Church - which is being erected in place of the one destroyed by fire some time ago - was set in position by His Lordship the Bishop of Bathurst". Foundation stone records: A M D G - This stone was laid by - The Right Rev - Lord Bishop of Bathurst - on 24th June 1903. A plaque on the gate pilar records: These Gates are dedicated - to the Glory of God in - loving memory of - Thelma Flanagan - who passed to her rest - 28th July, 1959. - By her husband and daughter - Jack and Jacqueline Flanagan. A plaque records: To the Glory of God - St Paul's Church - Memorial Garden - Established 2004. |

(Sydney Morning Herald - 12 January 1904) "COBAR, Monday. The Anglican Bishop of Bathurst arrived on Saturday night, and afterwards dedicated the new Church of St Paul's. He preached both morning and evening, and administered the Sacrament after the evening service".
