St George's Anglican Church - Former

This former church building is now privately owned. During the early 1920s the Mission Hall on Waterworks Road, was given as a sanctuary and vestry. The church was dedicated about 1923. At a meeting of the parishioners it was decided to call the church St George's. There was no appararent reason given for the name selection. The church was closed on 25/11/1988 with Assistant Bishop Smith, presiding. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited.
