A plaque records: This - Cathedral was erected - To the Glory of - God - and in memory of those - lost in the wreck of the B I - S S Quetta - 3484 tons - which about 9.14 pm on - Friday 28th Feb. 1890 - struck an unchartered rock - in the Adolphus Channel - whilst outward bound from - Brisbane to London, and - although in calm waters - and bright moonlight, sank - within three minutes with - the loss of 133 lives out - of a total of 293 on board - Presented by G.R.S. February 1911.

A plaque records: This memorial stone was placed here by - The Hon John Douglas CMG Govt Resident - May 24th 1893 - This church was consecrated by - The Right Rev C G Barlow Bishop of Morth Queensland - Nov 12th 1893 - as a memorial to those who were lost in the - S S Quetta Feb 28th 1890 and as a - thanksgiving offering for those whow were saved.

A tablet records: This tablet - is erected in gratitude - to the Almighty - for restoring one child - and also - in loving memory of - Kathleen Mary May Lacy - born February 8th 1877 - Lost in the Quetta - February 28th 1890 - 'What I do, thou knowest - not now; - but thou shalt know - hereafter' John Chap 13 Ver 7.

The All Souls & St Bartholomew Quetta Memorial Anglican Church was built in the early 1900's. Originally named the Quetta All Souls Memorial Cathedral, in remembrance of the 133 who perished on board the Quetta. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
