The present church was - built for the Methodist community in 1885. *************** This project [restoration of the Chapel] was funded by Centenary of - Federation Victoria through the Victorian - Government's Community Support Fund.

A plaque below the cross with the bell records: This Bell Tower - erected February 1991 - incorporating the original bell - from the Charlton Presbyterian Church - built in 1871. - In memory of - Mr & Mrs R C Blackwood - using their generous bequest - Built by Mr G Bartlett and dedicated by Rev G Dyason.
