The first Presbyterian Church on this site was built from bluestone in 1865 and the Manse in 1902. The present church known as the McLennan Memorial Presbyterian Church was built in 1908.

The stone cairn in the grounds bears a plaque commemorating the Buntingdale Aboriginal Mission (1839-1851). Grindstones from Scouller's flour mill support the culverts at the entrance. The memorial gates to Urquhart and Robert Ramsay were built of bluestone from their property 'Mooleric'.

The Presbyterian amd Methodist Churches of Birregura formed a United Church in 1970, and then became part of the broader Uniting Church in Australia in 1977.

Joint services are now shared regularly between the Uniting Church and the local Christ Church Anglican Church.

More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 14/1/2018.
