Comments

The former Barrington Uniting Church, held its final service in November 1995, and the property was subsequently sold. The first Wesleyan Chapel was opened on 18/12/1870 by the Rev Nathaniel Bennett of Launceston. It was unfortunately destroyed by fire in March 1884, being replaced by the present building, which was opened on 25/1/1885. The church celebrated its centenary in 1985, but closed in 1995.
