The former McHarg Creek Church property is now privately owned. The church building was relocated to this site about 1901, having been opened in March 1861, by the Rev John Thorne, at a site about a quarter of a mile from its current location. It is not known when the church closed. The church building was erected for the Primitive Methodist Church, which became part of the Methodist Church at Union in 1900.
