Services continued to be held in Vine Cottage, Reverend Milne's home, until the church was built. - In the early 1880's, the Congregationalists ceased to use the building, and it was rented for Church of England services which were conducted by the Reverend W J Bussell. As Mission Chaplain in the South East, Reverend Bussell had begun holding regular services in the Kingston Schoolroom in 1878. Five years later, he became the first rector when the chapel was dedicated as Holy Trinity Church. - The church suffered damage in the 1897 earthquake: its belfry was removed and the tie rods installed but it remains structurally sound and still in use.

The Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Kingston SE is now a Pastoral District in the Upper Limestone Coast, in the Diocese of The Murray. Early Anglican services were held in private homes and halls until they rented the unused former Congregational Church in the late 1870s. In 1883, after the Chapel was purchased, it was dedicated under the title of Holy Trinity. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
