The St Peter's Catholic Church, Rochedale is part of the Parish of Rochedale Springwood and the Diocese of Brisbane. The present church building was opened on 19/12/1978 by Bishop John Gerry. It was the culmination of much effort over many years, with earlier Masses being celebrated in St Declan's Catholic Church, which was located on the Pacific Highway Services Road at Slacks Creek, private homes and the State School. Early Masses were also celebrated in the Roche's home, when the priest from Beaudesert visited each quarter. The church celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2004.
