Comments

The first Catholic worship began in the town about 1874. The foundation stone for the first Catholic Church was laid by Archbishop Dunne in 1889, who also blessed and opened it later that year. By 1907 the church had become too small and plans to build a new church began. The original wooden St Mary's Church building was moved to 1823 Kerry Road, Kerry in 1908 and is now known as St John's. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.Photographs uploaded 16/2/2017.
