The St Columba od Iona Anglican Church, Cassilis is part of the Parish of Merriwa and the Diocese of Newcastle. The church was founded in 1860 by Bishop William Tyrrell. The present St Columba of Iona Anglican Church building replaced an earlier timber structure, erected in 1864 as a school and church. It was consecrated on 23/9/1900. The site is not in the the village but situated on Busby's original land. Mrs Busby laid the foundation stone. A cemetery adjoins the church. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 18/3/2020.
