The first Anglican service in Shellharbour was held on 29/3/1857, in Wilson's Flour Mill.
The first St Paul's Anglican Church, Shellharbour building was opened on 13/3/1859. The present church building was opened on 24/3/1886 by Most Rev Dr Barry, Bishop of Sydney, and consecrated on 11/1/1909. The foundations of the earlier church are on the same site but now covered by grass. The jubilee of the church opening was held in 1936. The church was granted parish status in 1976 and celebrated its centenary in 1986. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 21/4/2019.
