GKI Perth Uniting Church

The GKI Perth Uniting Church (Gereja Kristen Indonesia)  (formerly the Mosman Park Uniting Church) has been renamed a few time since its inception. Originally known as the Cottesloe Beach Methodist Church, later the Buckland Hill Methodist Church then Mosman Park Methodist Church in line with the civic district name changes. The Mosman Park Methodist Church became part of the Uniting Church when it was formed in 1977. The original congregation met in a tent in 1897 on the site of the present church. It was shortly after this that the decision was taken to build a wooden church. The brick 'new church' was built in 1929/30. The original wooden church building currently hosts the youth congregation. The church is part of the Presbytery of Western Australia and Uniting Church Synod of Western Australia.
