The former Forest Reefs Uniting Church, held its final service in 2021, and the property was sold. The church had been part of the Uniting Church Synod of NSW & ACT. The church building had been erected by the Methodist Church, which became part of the Uniting Church in 1977.

(Sydney Morning Herald - 11 November 1911)    "CHURCHES. FOREST REEFS, Friday. The new Methodist church was opened last Wednesday by the Rev. J. B. Penman, of Mudgee. A tea-meeting and entertainment was held in the evening; The sum of £48 was collected for the day, and only £25 remains to clear the debt of £400".

(Daily Telegraph - 13 November 1911)  "MILLTHORPE, Saturday.— There was a very large congregation at the opening ot the Methodist Church, Forest Reefs, on Wednesday. The proceeds of the day were £72, which, with the amount already in hand, leaves a debt of only £18 on a substantial and serviceable brick church".

More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 26/3/2020 & 4/9/2025.
