The Albert Street Uniting Church is part of the Presbytery of Moreton Rivers and the Uniting Church Synod of Queensland.  The first Methodist congregation met in Brisbane in 1947, with the first church building, a modest brick chapel, erected at the cnr Albert St and Burnett Lane opened in 1849. It was replaced in 1856 by a larger building. The present church building, erected at cnr Albert & Ann Sts., was the third to be built in Brisbane, and was opened and dedicated on 8/11/1889. This church was built by the Methodist Church which became part of the Uniting Church in 1977. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 25/10/2016.
