The first Mass celebrated in the St Peter's Catholic Church, Surry Hills was on 25/12/1880. However, the church building was not formally opened and blessed by Archbishop Vaughan until 11/9/1881, when it was debt free. No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 9/2/2021.
