The church began as the Smithfield Plains Baptist Church on 9/4/1971 in the Music Room of the Smithfield Plains High School. Later services were transferred to Little Glory Methodist Church building, erected in 1859. The Little Glory Baptist Church was constituted on 3/7/1977. They bought the Methodist Church building on 28/4/1988. Since then it has been renovated and extended. Church pews made in 1902 and the communion table made in 1952 were purchased from the Elgin Uniting Church, Kilkenny in 1996. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 28/1/2017.
