The former St David's Anglican Church, Borden held its final service, outdoors, in November 2024, at which the church building was also deconsecrated. The building was demolished in 2025, with no plans to rebuild. The church had been part of the Gnowangerup (Anglican Communities Model) and the Diocese of Bunbury. On 6/8/2023 an earthquake in the Gnowangerup area caused significant damage to the church's foundations, rendering the building unsafe. The church began in the 1950s, when the local farming community raised funds, together with a bequest of 1,000 pounds from the late Mr James Walton-Evans, to erect a church building dedicated to St David. This was achieved, with the church building being opened in 1959. Although the building has now been removed, the bell tower, the niche wall and the garden will be retained. The 2024 Christmas service was held in the Borden Pavilion1. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 18/9/2018 & 6/8/2024.
