The original St John the Baptist Anglican Church was opened on 3/2/1884. It closed in the 1980s, was then used by the Chinese Christian Fellowship of Australia for a period, opening as The Bridge Church (formerly Church by the Bridge) in 2005.The St John's building was originally built as a school hall about 1909.
