A plaque commemorating the opening of the new church, in a modern multi storey building, next to the original historical Kogarah Presbyterian Church records: 

'Following the commencement of Presbyterian public worship in Kogarah in 1865 a church building was constructed on this site in 1893. A larger building known as 'Soldiers Memorial Church' was built next to it in 1928.

Both heritage buildings survive today as part of the KIRK PLACE development. 

This innovative church space was officially opened as the new home of Kirkplace Presbyterian Church, Kogarah on the 17th November, 2009 to the GLORY OF GOD by the Rt Rev Christie D Balzer BPharm, BD, MTh, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Australia in the State of New South Wales.'

Cornerstone is a multi-location church that is a member of the Presbyterian Church in NSW. Cornerstone Kogarah is the seventh Cornerstone church plant, and commenced on 18/7/2021. It is stragegically located opposite the St George Public Hospital and next to the Community Library in Kogarah Town Square.

Following the commencement of Presbyterian public worship in Kogarah in 1865 a church building was constructed on this site in 1893. A larger building known as 'Soldiers Memorial Church' was built next to it in 1928. Both heritage buildings survive today as part of the KIRK PLACE development. This modern church space was officially opened on the 17th November, 2009 by the Rt Rev Christie D Balzer, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited.
