The St Luke's Lutheran Church is part of the Lutheran Church of Australia. The present bluestone church building was originally built for the St John's Presbyterian Church in 1862. Following the formation of the Uniting Church, St John's  closed in 1983, and the building was acquired by the St Luke's Lutheran congregation. It was dedicated as St Lukes' on 15/8/1984. The Lutheran congregation dates from 1967 and prior to the acquisition of this building had held its services in St Mark's Anglican Church building and other locations.
