The Wesleyan Methodist Church began in the district in the late 1850's. Their first church was built in 1870. In 1880 the Primitive Methodists joined the Wesleyan Methodists. The growth in members led to the original church being enlarged in 1904 and again in 1931. This lead to the first stage of the present church being opened in 1957. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 5/1/2017.
