(Cairns Post  (Qld: 1909 - 1954) Sat 20 Nov 1937 p 10)  "RAVENSHOE ANGLICAN CHURCH. DEDICATED TO ST. BARNABAS BY THE BISHOP OF NORTH QUEENSLAND. RAVENSHOE. Nov. 14. - During the dedication of St Barnabas Church of England at Ravenshoe to-day by the Bishop of North Queensland (the Rt Rev. John Feetham, D.D:), assisted by Rev. Harold Spriggs (Herberton), Rev. H. Hancock (Atherton), Rev. C. E. Bretton (Atherton), and Rev. C. Payton (Innisfail) and parties of choir boys from Innisfail and Herberton, took as his text "They sent forth Barnabas that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that "with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord." Acts xi. 22-24'. See below.
