A plaque on the bell tower records: Ring out to the glory of God and recall with - thanksgiving the ministry of His priest - Jack Kruger - Rector of All Saints', Chermside - 1961 ~ 1973 - Died 23rd May 1978 - This bell tower was dedicated by - +John Grindrod, Archbishop of Brisbane - on 14th December 1980.

A plaque records: Ad majorem Dei gloriam - These extensions to the Church of All Saints - were blessed and opened - by - The Most Reverend Peter Hollingworth AO OBE - Archbishop of Brisbane - on - 17 July 1996 - Rector Dr Scott Cowdell .....

Comments

The church had its beginnings in 1906, with worship services sometime later being held in the Public Hall at Chermside. A stump capping ceremony for the building of a wooden church was held on 25/7/1914, with the first service being held in the new church building on 11/10/1914. The church was dedicated on 15/11/1914 by His Grace, Archbishop St Clair Donaldson. More historical information/photographs of the church/congregation are invited. Photograhs uploaded 26/2/2017.
