An extract on display from the old minute books records: Meeting was held on the 4th April 1936 for the purpose of erecting a church on land donated by Mr G Streeting.

Mr A Nixon donated the logs. Mr J Woods sawed the timber.  Messrs R Hunt and J Streeting built the church assisted by Mr J McClelland. Meetings were held at Mrs Elizabeth McIlveen's home.

The church was opened on 5th December 1936. Mrs E C McIlveen turned the key which was handed to her by Mr C H W Peters.

More extracted minutes are on display outling further development of the building over the years and key contributors.

The church was eventually taken over by the Presbyterian Church and subsequently re-opened on 6/11/1994 by the Presbytery Moderator, the Rev John McIntyre.

More historical information/photographs of the church/congregations are invited. Photographs uploaded 18/9/2017.
