Comments

The former St Andrew's Uniting Church, Branxholme property is no longer in use. The church hall at 21-23 Brown Street was sold in June 2019. The church building was originally erected by a Presbyterian congregation, about 1862. In the 1870s a disagreement with regard to the use of music during the service lead to a split in the congregation. The part of the congregation that left erected the Free Presbyterian Church building at 87 Monroe Street. (See separate entry). No other details are known. More historical information/photographs of the former church/congregation are invited. Photographs uploaded 26/1/2020 & 28/3/2021.
