A stone records: St Paul's Kyneton - This commemorates the - laying of the foundation stone by the Right Rev - G Perry, Bishop of Melbourne. Dec 28 1855 - Opening of the church. Nov 30 1856 - Consecration of the church. Dec 3 1862 - Completion of the Tower and its dedication by the - Right Rev D Baker, Bishop of Bendigo. Feb 18 1928 - Donald Haultain ~ Rector.

A stone on the Sunday School hall records: St Paul's Church Jubilee - This stone was laid by - J S Johnson Esqr - 21 Years S S Supt. - March 28 1906.

Historical plaque records: Saints Paul's Church - Kyneton - Building of the bluestone church commenced in 1855, and it was opened by Bishop Perry in November 1856. It has seven bays rather than the normal three or five of most country churches, and is one of Victoria's oldest substantial churches with a tower. The tower was added in 1928, using stone from the original Police stables. During World War II the tower was an RAAF observation station.

The St Paul's Anglican Church, Kyneton was established in 1856. Prior to the erection of the church building services were held in the Alms House on Ebden Street. More historical information/photographs of the church/congegation are invited. Photographs uploaded 17/2/2019.
